In this Canva to Tutorial 2018 Video, I will show you how to use this platform in order to design pictures for your business, community, or just a flyer that you need to create an order to promote an event. Canva is a free online graphic design tool and this Canva for Beginners video has been updated to show you the layout for Canva 2018. So, whether you are just beginning to design is in Canva or you’re just getting started with Canva for the first time, this video is definitely for you!
Why Would you Want to Use Canva?
You may be wondering why someone would want to Design Using Canva and the power of this awesome platform. Many times people need to create things on their own within their business, church, or community. Using different platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, different sides photos are relevant for each background. Using this Canva Tutorial, I will show you how you can design using their templates and customizable features for just about any platform you want to create content for. If you are just getting started with Canva, you may be wondering if there is a cost. Canva is a free and paid platform that is designed to give you some good quality content for free and high-quality content for a fee.

When you first log into Canva, you will be able to see your past work that you have completed. Obviously, if you are brand new to Canva you won’t be able to see any art until you create your own. After you start designing in Canva you will be able to see all of your past art that you’ve created as well as items that other designers have shared with you. You can go as far as to create a team of folks who design images for you. That’s a great feature that people can use if they do not want to do all of the designing on their own or they simply don’t have time. Make sure you add your brand logo within Canva as well. Another area I dive into during this canva tutorial is the sidebar that appears once you start a design and the different features that allow you to design great images and PDFs. The layouts is the feature you want to start off with just in case you wanted more than a single area to design. If you want a collage affect, then working with layouts at the beginning is where you want to start.
There are a ton of background pictures or colors that you can choose from to set the mood of your design. It is important to design with canva using your layouts and backgrounds first as they will be the foundation you need to add your text and images to. You will also have the option to use several elements within Canva suck as shapes, lines, icons, and picture frames. These features make designing with canva for beginners simple and fun! Be sure to remember that you are able to use features that are very similar to Microsoft software such as bold, text color change, and brining elements to the front or taking it back. When your satisfied with your canva design, you can download and use it for your websites, projects, or social media accounts. Canva is a great platforms for just about anyone with a need and I hope you will enjoy it.
